GET IT High School Improv Troupe
with Improv Team
The popular teen improv troupe "GET IT" (Georgia Ensemble Theatre Improv Troupe...get it?) is back! GET IT meets weekly on Saturdays with performances throughout the year at the GET Studio Theatre. Students will work with professional actors Hope Funke, Alexia Shepherd, and Education Director Laurel Crowe, to create a strong performance team.
New student auditions by appointment. Please email Laurel Crowe education@get.org to schedule an audition.
Additional rehearsals may be required prior to performances.
Performance Dates May 10th for families and the public, and May 11th at the IMPROV-A-PALOOZA event. Additional performance opportunities may be scheduled.

IMPROV-A-PALOOZA & Open Mic
with Improv Team
Join us for our monthly "structured social" nights! Appropriate for students in Grade 6 and above. Open to students with any level of experience (including no experience).
Improv-A-Palooza includes playing improv games, and sometimes seeing an improv performance!
Open Mic Night is a coffeehouse style open mic. Participants will be able to sing, perform stand-up comedy, read poetry, or perform a monologue for their peers. Students will sign up for 5-minute performance spots upon arrival and throughout the evening. Students who only want to watch and not perform are also welcome! A microphone and a speaker for playing music are provided.
Absolutely no photography or videography will be permitted during Open Mic Nights or Improv-A-Paloozas, except by GET Staff and with parent signature on our Media Waiver. Please note that this is a student social event. A lounge is available for any family members or guardians who need to wait for their student during the event.
Parents can drop off as early as 5:45 PM. Pick-up is at 9:00 PM.
Pizza dinner is included with the price of entry.
Register in advance with a card, cash at the door.

Come to the Georgia Ensemble Theatre Studio in Roswell to take a one-hour "fun patch" theatre workshop! We can't wait to see you!
Triple Threat: Act! Dance! Sing! Broadway Bound (2nd-12th grade)
with Musical Theatre Team
Learn all about musical theatre performance in this fast-paced, fun and challenging theatre camp.
Mornings are spent learning dance, singing, improvisation and audition. In the afternoon, students dive deep into acting, musical theatre performance and production classes.
All students will perform for family at 5:00PM on the final day of camp!
*Meets Performance Camp Prerequisite.
Ultimate Acting Boot Camp (2nd-12th grade)
with GET Team
An exciting and intensive week where students learn a wide variety of theatre classes; everything from Improv to Shakespeare, Movement, Acting, design, and more.
This is a perfect camp for veteran theater students who are looking to brush up their skills AND new students looking to explore a new craft!
Students will perform selected pieces for family on the final day of camp at 5PM.
Meets Performance Camp prerequisite.
Each session has unique classes!
Session 1: June 17th to June 21st
Session 2: July 8th to July 12th
Mash-Up Musical Madness (6th-12th grade)
with Musical Theatre Team
One part sketch comedy, one part Musical Comedy--this camp creates an original production in 5 days that is hilarious, energetic, and full of pop culture. Students write and devise the entire thing! SNL meets GLEE!
For students in 6th-12th grade.
Improv & Sketch Fest (6th-12th grade)
with Improv Team
Dive deep into Improvisational theatre techniques and sketch comedy writing and performance. Students spend all day learning a variety of different improv games and write their own sketch comedy scenes. Instructors work on both short and long form improv.
Improv show on the last day of camp at 5:00pm.
